HBMBA Friday Night Dig Series (October 2)

Come join us for an evening of trail maintenance in preparation for Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day.
The HBMBA team is excited to host a special Friday Night Dig Series at Christie Lake on October 2 in preparation for Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day. Participants will help with some maintenance—trimming, raking, etc.—to get the singletrack ready for anyone who rides on the weekend. If you are unable to join right at 5, please text or call Zach Schattenkirk (306) 552-8809 to let him know when to expect you so he can meet you at the gate.

Who Can Join Us
No experience is required and all HBMBA members are welcome. Non-members may attend one trail build day, but must become a member in order to attend additional build days due to the HBMBA’s insurance and liability policy. Please register to let us know you’re attending.
Participants must be 18+. If you have younger family members keen to join us, please reach out to hello@hbmba.ca and we will do our best to accommodate.

Mountain bike parking lot at Christie Lake Conservation Authority (the west-most parking lot, follow signage).
Accessing Christie Lake Conservation Authority
On weekend Dig Days, you are able to park for free by showing proof of HBMBA membership and your Dig Day registration at the gate. On Friday nights, there may not be anyone at the gate. BUT, we have some passes that will get you through the gate so you don’t have to pay for parking. Our Trail Director will wait just outside the entry gate until 5 pm to swipe people in. What to Bring
It is recommended that you wear sturdy shoes (steel toe is ideal, but not necessary) and work/gardening gloves. Sunglasses or safety glasses are also recommended. All tools will be provided by HBMBA.
Bring snacks, water, insect repellant and an extra layer(s). Be prepared to carry your gear out on trail with you.
