HBMBA Grom Squad Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day

IMBA Canada’s Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day (TKMBD) is an annual event that seeks to introduce the joy of mountain biking to the next generation. It was created in 2004 in honour of Jack Doub, an avid teenage mountain biker from North Carolina who passed away in 2002.
#TakeAKidMountainBikingDay welcomes kids of all abilities and backgrounds. Join us for a family-oriented community event, whether you are trying mountain biking for the first time or have some experience. Run bikes, pedal bikes, suspension bikes — all are welcome!
Event Details:
Sunday October 2, 2022 10 am – 1 pm
Christie Lake Conservation Area, mountain biking area
(admission fee or HCA membership needed at the gate)
Hosted by the HBMBA Grom Squad and StokedMTB
10 am: All levels Intro to Christie group ride
10 am – 12 pm: StokedMTB skills area
10 am – 12 pm: Trail Scavenger Hunt
12 pm: Skills challenge
12:30 pm: Prizes awarded
