SUMMARY:HBMBA Friday Night Dig Series (June 19)
DESCRIPTION:The HBMBA team is excited to host a Friday Night Dig Series at Christie Lake. Participants will be introduced to tools of the trade\, learn about safety\, and have an opportunity to help with some trail maintenance. \nPlease sign up to secure your spot. \nOur Friday Night Dig Series is back! Come join us for an evening of trail maintenance. \nThe HBMBA team is excited to host a Friday Night Dig Series at Christie Lake again for 2026. Participants will be introduced to tools of the trade\, learn about safety\, and have an opportunity to help with some trail maintenance. \nWho Can Join Us \nNo experience is required and all HBMBA members are welcome. Non-members may attend one trail build day\, but must become a member in order to attend additional build days due to the HBMBA’s insurance and liability policy. Please register to let us know you’re attending. \nParticipants must be 18+. If you have younger family members keen to join us\, please reach out to hello@hbmba.ca and we will do our best to accommodate. \nMeeting Place \nMountain bike parking lot at Christie Lake Conservation Authority (the west-most parking lot\, follow signage). \nAccessing Christie Lake Conservation Authority \nOn weekend Dig Days\, you are able to park for free by showing proof of HBMBA membership and your Dig Day registration at the gate. On Friday nights\, there may not be anyone at the gate. BUT\, we have some passes that will get you through the gate so you don’t have to pay for parking. Our Trail Director will wait just outside the entry gate until 5 pm to swipe people in. We want to start working on the trails as close to 5 as possible. Any questions? Shoot us an email: hello@hbmba.ca \nWhat to Bring \nIt is recommended that you wear sturdy shoes (steel toe is ideal\, but not necessary) and work/gardening gloves. Sunglasses or safety glasses are also recommended. All tools will be provided by HBMBA. \nBring snacks\, water\, insect repellant and an extra layer(s). Be prepared to carry your gear out on trail with you. \nAll tools will be provided by HBMBA. \nInclement Weather \nIf the weather is not suitable for building\, you will receive an email (no less than 2hrs prior to the event start).

SUMMARY:HBMBA Father's Day Community Dig Day\, Social Ride\, and BBQ at Christie Lake
DESCRIPTION:The HBMBA team is excited to host a special Community Dig Day at Christie Lake on Father’s Day. In this hands-on dig day\, participants will be introduced to the tools they’ll be using\, learn about safety\, and have an opportunity to do some work on the trails. Trail maintenance will take place between 10 and noon\, followed by a social ride and BBQ. \nWho Can Join Us\nNo experience is required and all HBMBA members are welcome. Non-members may attend one trail build day\, but must become a member in order to attend additional build days due to the HBMBA’s insurance and liability policy. \nParticipants must be 18+. If you have younger family members keen to join us\, please reach out to hello@hbmba.ca and we will do our best to accommodate. \nPlease sign up at this link to confirm your spot. \nDig Day volunteers will have free access to Christie Lake if they don’t have an annual Hamilton Conservation Pass.
