SUMMARY:Annual General Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Hamilton Burlington Mountain Biking Association executive would like to invite all members to join us at our annual general meeting. \nDue to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic\, our AGM will be held virtually this year over Zoom. While we will miss meeting and greeting everyone in person\, we are thankful that we have the option to host our AGM virtually.  \n\nWelcome & Agenda\nSpecial Resolution: Update of by-laws\nReview and recap of 2020\nFinancial report\nElections \nWhat lies ahead for 2021\n\nClick Here to register/get your tickets\nElections\nOne of the critical parts of our AGM is the elections of the new board and executive. Current members and new members can self-nominate or nominate someone to our Board of Directors. Click here to view our current Board members and current positions. Nominees must attend the AGM or provide a proxy to attend the AGM on their behalf. \nBoard of Directors\nIn accordance with our existing by-laws\, all Board positions are renewed annually. Existing Board members can ask to stand in the current position but are still required to proceed with a vote if another member wishes to run in that position. Members can also self-nominate or nominate another member to run against the standing member in which case a vote will take place at the AGM. If a vote is required\, each nominee will be given an opportunity to speak prior to a vote. \nVacancies\nFor our upcoming term\, the following positions will be vacant for members to self-nominate or nominate someone for: \n\nDirector of Corporate Sponsorship\n\nExecutive\nExecutive positions are elected differently as a member must have been a board member prior to being elected to the Executive. Additionally\, Executive members have the option currently of running for a term of 2 years.
